Our Wellbeing Promise
For every health screening test you purchase, we donate a free test to a vulnerable member of the local community.
What is our Wellbeing Promise?
At The London House of Wellbeing, we want to really make a difference. So, with every health screening test purchased, we donate a free test to a vulnerable member of the community.
We work closely with local charities and community hubs to support those who most need our services.
That means that every time you book a test with us, you’re contributing towards the safe health and wellbeing of someone who really needs it.
Feel good, do good.
Common health issues in the community
Vitamin D Deficiency
Vitamin D, is also known as ‘the sunshine vitamin’, and is one of the most important vitamins for our bodies.
This helpful vitamin allows us to absorb calcium and phosphate from the foods we eat to keep our teeth, bones, and muscles healthy.
A lack of vitamin D can result in low mood, weak muscles, weight gain, and fatigue.
Iron Deficiency
Iron deficiency anaemia is caused by lack of iron, often because of blood loss or pregnancy. It is normally treated with iron tablets and by eating iron-rich foods.
Symptoms of low iron levels include tiredness and lack of energy, shortness of breath, noticeable heartbeats (heart palpitations), and pale skin.
Underactive Thyroid
The thyroid gland is a small butterfly shaped gland in the neck, just in front of the windpipe.
An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) can cause tiredness, sensitivity to cold, weight gain, constipation, depression, slow movements and thoughts, muscle aches and weakness, and muscle cramps.
Symptoms typically develop slowly, so identification of a heath issue can often take several years.
